About CVSC

Champlain Valley Skating Club is associated with US Figure Skating and has the following club-sanctioned activities:

Vermont Children's Theatre on Ice

A children's ice theatre group, VCTI interprets a six minute theatrical piece set to music which they then use for competition and exhibitions throughout New England, the US and Europe.

Ice Crystals Synchronized Skating Team

ICSST is a synchronized skating team with divisions for beginner through teen skaters. The group competes throughout the Northeast Region.

The Champlain Valley Open

A figure skating competition held the first weekend in August, this event draws skaters from the Northeast and Canada. Events range from badge levels through senior levels.

Spring Ice Show

An ice show for group and private lesson skaters which is held at Leddy Arena. The show is hosted jointly by CVSC and Burlington Department of Parks and Recreation. Skaters show off their talent and the results of all their hard work to the community.

US Figure Skating Test Sessions

Skaters in private lessons who wish to advance their skating credentials can test before US Figure Skating judges.

Holiday Cup and Challenge Cup Competitions

We work with the Burlington Department of Parks and Recreation to offer this basic skills competition for group level and beginning private lesson skaters. They are held in December and March.
